Attitude Determination and Control System

The Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS) deals with the satellite attitude in space. The satellite attitude varies depending on the configuration, and it is determined and controlled by mission fulfillment.

Attitude Determination and Control System BayernSat

During this stage of the BayernSat project, the ADCS team evaluates and verifies the data provided by systems engineering in order to be able to clearly determine the selection and size of the ADCS hardware. Currently we are developing a general Matlab/Simulink based simulator to plan and analyse the ADCS and navigation system. This simulator will be used to implement a coupled attitude and orbit dynamics. In addition to different environmental impacts, we will simulate a broad range of hardware elements (sensors & actuators). In the meantime the mathematical model to solve the multiobject tracking problem (Earth/relay satellite targeting) will be completed.
